Red Wine Marquês de Borba Colheita has an excellent aromatic concentration, thanks to its varieties composed by aragonez, trincadeira, touriga nacional, alicante bouschet, petit verdot and merlot grapes. The grapes are sanitised, crushed and cooled. After a pre-fermentative macerated, part of the grapes are fermented in marble lagares and the rest in stainless steel vats with temperature control.
The ageing takes place for six months in half barrels of French and American oak, of the second and third year. The result is a wine with intense aromas of fruits, mainly berries, cassis and preserves. Its tannins are soft and there is a good balance between fruit, acidity and tannins.
