Description

Adamus 20-Year-Old Grape Spirit is crafted from a selection of robust Bairrada wines from the 1990s, predominantly made from the Baga grape variety. A blend with ideal physical, chemical and sensory characteristics was carefully selected to preserve the wine’s vibrancy before distillation in traditional discontinuous copper stills.

It was aged for over 20 years in the family’s old cellar, in Portuguese oak and Allier oak barrels featuring different grain types and levels of toast. This extended maturation lends depth, complexity and elegance to this Portuguese grape spirit, expressing the character of the Bairrada region and Adamus’s commitment to craftsmanship.

Nota de Prova

Colour: Dense amber.

Nose: Complex and evolved, with notes of toffee, candied fruit, cigar, balsamic nuances and toasted aromas, harmoniously integrated into a smooth profile.

Palate: Notes of fresh grape pomace and grape must, complemented by hints of orange blossom and dried fruit.

Suggestions

Best enjoyed neat, at room temperature, allowing its aromatic complexity and evolving flavours to unfold gradually. A long-aged grape spirit, ideal for contemplative tasting.
