Description

Belonging to the oldest Champagne house in the world, the R Ruinart signature wine comprises 40% Chardonnay, 40% to 45% Pinot Noir and 10% to 15% Pinot Meunier. Between 25% to 30% of the wines used in this blend are reserve wines from the previous two years. Fresh and balanced, it is the perfect champagne for an aperitif but it can also be used for "pairing" in light and refreshing entrees.

At the level of winemaking: harvest done by hand. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with regulated temperature. Complete malolactic fermentation. Only 9 grams of sugar per liter is the real Brut champagne.

Nota de Prova

No início, o aroma é delicado, fresco e frutado, repleto de frutas de polpa branca, damascos, bem como avelãs e amêndoas frescas. Várias notas florais e picantes adicionam uma pitada extra de complexidade. O segundo aroma revela uma excelente intensidade olfactiva com uma base de biscoito tipo brioche.

Um impacto direto e franco no palato. O final é longo, com a frescura característica do Chardonnay que é o principal constituinte do blend.

Suggestions

Utilizar um copo de corpo mais aberto e arredondado, género Borgogna. Verter suavemente o champagne até preencher metade do copo. Perfeito para apertivo ou como acompanhamento ideal de frutos do mar como ostras escalfadas ou vieiras levemente cozinhadas, bem como queijos como Chaource ou Langres.
