The formula is a well-kept secret for all wineries that have been with this family since 1950. It was from the Port of Santa Maria, in Jerez de la Frontera, that came the secrets of aging good spirits, discovered during a retreat from all team of workers. The solera method brought from Jerez, is still used in the production of CR&F spirits and it is the only one with IVV approval in Portugal. That team still is legendary in the CRF family.
Whenever we toast with this brandy, we remember the 20 coopers from this group who worked day and night in the production of barrels so that nothing would fail in the aging process of this emblematic brandy.
