Description

A wine of ancient tradition dating back on the 14th century, Carcavelos gained international reputation under the influence of Marquês de Pombal who produced the wine on his fabulous farm at Oeiras (18th century). Made from arinto, galego dourado and ratinho varieties, planted in limestone-red Mediterranean soils, with mild temperatures and north winds.

This wine is defined by golden yellow tint, complex aromas of dried fruits and spices. Extremely rich and lavish on the palate with delicious and persistent finish. Aged in Portuguese and French oak barrels, for an average period of 15 years.
