Description

Kagura Red Shiso is a sake-based liqueur made from red shiso grown in Kyoto, perfect for those seeking a sophisticated Japanese aperitif or an original dessert. The initial nose is vegetal and fragrant, with notes of shiso, basil, damp woodland moss, and plum. The attack is fresh and slightly tangy, with aromas of red shiso, black pepper, fresh and cooked basil, and rosemary. Slightly vegetal yet sweet, the sweetness is perfectly balanced and not syrupy. The finish maintains the characteristic aroma with a subtle hint of prune at the very end.
