Description

The Bioma Red is a wine produced exclusively with grapes from our vineyards at Quinta de Nápoles, where we practice organic viticulture, certified by SATIVA. Grapes from young vines, around 25 years old, were used, and the aim was to intervene as little as possible throughout the entire winemaking process. Aging took place in old wooden vats recovered from Port Wine casks, with the goal of obtaining a pure wine, without wood influence, but with firm and elegant tannins.

Nota de Prova

Color: Bright ruby red, with medium intensity.

Aroma: Fresh and expressive, with notes of wild red fruits, subtle spices, and a distinctive earthy touch typical of organic Douro.

Palate: Elegant and well-balanced, with firm yet polished tannins and lively acidity, showcasing the purity of the fruit and terroir.

Finish: Long, mineral, and harmonious, enhancing the wine’s authentic character.

Suggestions

Traditional cuisine: Feijoada à Transmontana (bean and pork stew), Lampreia à Bordalesa (lamprey in Bordelaise style), oven-roasted kid goat, Rojões à moda do Minho (Minho-style pork). Vegetarian suggestions: dishes based on lentils or beetroot.
