Description

The Elpenor Alfrocheiro is a Portuguese red wine from the Dão region, crafted from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro, and Jaen grapes. Aged under the region’s high sunlight and water availability, it offers a concentrated and fruity flavor, with aromas of forest fruits and bergamot.

This dry, organically produced red wine combines pleasant acidity, balanced body, and structure, delivering an elegant and harmonious experience in every sip.

Internationally recognized, it has won gold medals at the MundusVini Biofach 2016 and the SAKURA Japan Women’s Wine Awards 2018, being considered one of the best Portuguese red wines.

Nota de Prova

Intense ruby color. Complex aromas of ripe red fruits, subtle floral notes, and a light spicy touch. On the palate, elegant and structured, with soft tannins, good acidity, and a persistent finish.

Suggestions

Perfect to pair with grilled meats, roasts, game dishes, or mature cheeses. Serve at 16-18°C, and decant to enhance aromas, freshness, and structure.
