Description

Mouchão Tonel Nº 3-4 Tinto 2015 is one of the most iconic expressions of Alicante Bouschet, produced only in exceptional vintages. Sourced exclusively from the historic Carapetos vineyard, it is crafted using traditional methods, including foot treading and fermentation in stone lagares. The wine is aged for 4 to 5 years in the historic Nº 3 and 4 vats, followed by a further 4 years of bottle ageing. A deeply concentrated, complex red with outstanding ageing potential, showcasing the full character of Mouchão's terroir.

Nota de Prova

Color: Deep, intense garnet.

Aroma: Black fruit, Indian ink, pencil, black olive, mint, and spices.

Palate: Intense and structured, with exuberant tannins, concentrated fruit, and remarkable minty freshness.

Finish: Exceptionally long, complex, and persistent, with outstanding ageing potential.

Suggestions

Particularly well suited to grilled meats and game dishes. Decant or open 12 to 24 hours before serving to allow the wine to fully express its aromatic complexity.
