Pretexto is a Portuguese Dão red wine produced with own grapes from different vineyards in the Dão region. The Jaen, ALfrocheiro and Tinta Roriz varieties come from Penalva do Castelo, ) from vines at 550-620 meters above sea level in quartz and clay soils. The Touriga Nacional variety is produced in Vila Nova de Tazem, in vineyards characteristic of its granite soils at an altitude between 480 and 550 meters.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks, it ages in French oak vats. It is the fruit that shines and dominates this wine combined with good acidity and a minty and balsamic profile. It is an elegant wine with the typical freshness of Dão.
