Description

Vibeyard Palhete is a distinctive and playful red wine inspired by the historic “palhete” wines produced in Portugal since the Middle Ages. In this traditional style, white and red grapes are fermented together — a technique used by Cistercian monks in the 12th century — resulting in a light, vibrant and highly gastronomic wine.

Made from organically grown Fernão Pires (white) and Trincadeira (red) grapes, hand-harvested to preserve their natural freshness. Part of the wine ferments in ancient clay amphorae lined with pine resin, while the remaining portion ferments in stainless steel tanks. After 2 to 3 months, the wines are blended and left to stabilize naturally over time, without filtration or fining, allowing the pure expression of the grapes and terroir to shine.
