Description

Ine Mankai by Mukai Shuzo is an unusual sake made from a blend of Murasaki, an ancient red rice variety, and Iwai rice, native to Kyoto. Launched in the early 2000s, it was created with the aim of achieving a perfect harmony between sweetness and acidity. The result is a complex and expressive sake, with aromas of cherry and vanilla, sweet-tart cherry and pomegranate flavours, and a savoury, umami-rich palate. Its versatility makes it an intriguing match for both savoury dishes and desserts, particularly dark chocolate.
