Description

Luxardo Antico Vermouth is Luxardo’s own interpretation of vermouth, made using the juice of the brand’s marasca cherries. At the beginning of summer, part of the juice is set aside and left to mature until natural fermentation occurs. Once the desired alcohol level is reached, neutral spirit is added to stop further fermentation, followed by a period of ageing in oak vats. Various herbs and spices are then added and left to infuse until the desired profile is achieved. The product is subsequently filtered and bottled at 16.5% ABV.

Complex and expressive, it combines fruity and herbal notes with spices and a long, bitter finish. It is ideal for putting a distinctive twist on classic cocktails by replacing the usual vermouth, or for serving neat or over ice as an aperitif.

Nota de Prova

Colour: Clear, deep burgundy red.

Aroma: Fruity and spicy, with fresh citrus notes, white petal floral aromas, and hints of dandelion and burdock.

Palate: Complex, combining fruity and herbal notes with spices, particularly white pepper.

Finish: Long, bitter and herbal, with a subtle spicy touch.
