WhistlePig 10 Years Small Batch Rye is an American rye whiskey aged for 10 years, with a 70 cl bottle and 50% ABV. An intense and distinctly spice-forward Rye Whiskey, crafted to offer layers of flavour and versatility in the way it is enjoyed. It is one of the whiskeys that marked the beginning of WhistlePig's journey into Rye Whiskey and features a high rye content.

Nota de Prova

Colour: Golden amber.

Nose: Allspice, orange peel and anise, complemented by notes of oak, char and caramel.

Palate: Sweet and rich, with hints of caramel and vanilla, followed by rye spice and a touch of mint.

Finish: Long and warm, with lingering butterscotch and caramel notes.

Suggestions

At 50% ABV (100 Proof), it can be enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to open up its aromas and balance its intensity. It is also an excellent base for classic cocktails such as the Manhattan, Old Fashioned and Sazerac, where its spicy rye character comes into its own.
