Description

Belonging to brand Nikka, Japan, Nikka Coffey Malt is a curious expression of Miyagikyo's distillery, made from only malted barley, it is distinguished from a single malt as it is distilled in Coffey columns. The Coffey column was named after its inventor, Aeneas Coffey.

In 1830, the Irishman born in France would perfect this technique, which would become widely adopted by Scots for the production of blends, allowing them to overtake Ireland as the quintessential Whiskey producer. Whiskeys thus produced are light and elegant.
