Description

Belonging to brand Nikka, Japan, Nikka Coffey Malt is a curious expression of Miyagikyo's distillery, made from only malted barley, it is distinguished from a single malt as it is distilled in Coffey columns. The Coffey column was named after its inventor, Aeneas Coffey.

In 1830, the Irishman born in France would perfect this technique, which would become widely adopted by Scots for the production of blends, allowing them to overtake Ireland as the quintessential Whiskey producer. Whiskeys thus produced are light and elegant.

Fresco e repleto de notas balsâmicas, a sua vivacidade é sustentada por compostos aromáticos maioritariamente cítricos (laranja e clementina), que vêm desafiar notas mais persuasivas de café, praliné e creme de baunilha. Surpreendentemente, dá lugar a vários tipos de ameixa, deixando a falsa impressão de uma eau-de-vie. O final de boca mantém-se na ameixa , com uma breve aparição de alcaçuz antes de os aromas a fruta serem novamente o centro das atenções

Suggestions

Nikka Perfect Manhattan - Combine in a mixing glass filled with ice, 60ml of Nikka Coffey Grain, 15ml of Vermouth Dry and 15ml of Vermouth Rosso. Finally add two drops of Bitters to taste and stir for 2 minutes. Pour the contents without ice into a chilled cocktail glass.

Decorate with a fresh cherry.
