A wine characteristic of minerality and its citrus notes, it is produced at Herdade do Portocarro, one of the most original wine projects in Portugal. Close to the Atlantic and halfway between the Setúbal Peninsula and the Alentejo, this 142-hectare property (the vineyard has 15 hectares), produces wine in a region where no one does.
Its owner and producer, José da Mota Capitão, inspired by biodynamic viticulture, has been recovering extinct indigenous varieties and experimenting with some of the classic Portuguese varieties, giving rise to unique wines, innovative and full of personality.
