Description

The white Esporão Private Selection was launched in 2001, under the name "Garrafeira". The desire to make a differentiating white wine, which challenged the classic profile of the great Alentejo wines, led winemaker David Baverstock to bring the Sémillon variety from Australia to the Herdade dos Perdigões. This grape variety of French origin is iconic in the Barrosa Valley region of Australia, where it grows in a climate similar to Alentejo.

Planted in soils of granite origin, clayey and deep, the vineyard of Palmeiras adapted well to our soils and Alentejo heat. It is from this vineyard that the White Private Selection is born.

Every year an artist is invited to illustrate his labels, combining Portuguese culture from wine production to art.

Nota de Prova

COLOUR: Straw with greenish laivos.

AROMA: White plum and ripe lemon, fresh almond, spices and white chocolate.

TASTE: Rich and intense, where the white pulp fruit is complemented with white pepper and nutmeg. Intense, with an elegant and persistent finish.
