Description

This white wine Rola-Pipa results from a special blend of three noble Azorean varieties - Verdelho, Terrantez do Pico and Arinto dos Açores, which brings with it a historical load and richness inherent to its creation. A genuine white of pico that was born by the sea, characterized by the intense elements of iodo and salinity.

Different varieties, different zones and different harvest timings are at the origin – and differentiation – of this wine. The very gentle pressing of the selected grapes from the areas of Candelaria, Barca and Lajido de Santa Luzia, allows the extraction of its best characteristics, ensuring that the wine expresses the grape variety and its special terroir. With a production of 13,000 bottles, Rola-Pipa fermented at 15ºC for three weeks, followed by a ten-month stage on top of fine lees.

Nota de Prova

É um vinho muito elegante aromaticamente, onde as notas de iodo se misturam com alguma fruta fresca, algas do mar e mineralidade. A prova é envolvente, mostrando-se vibrante ao longo de toda a prova. O final é muito longo e salgado.
